Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou has received encouraging news regarding his fitness following his return to Al Hilal after the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Reports from the Saudi press indicate that the experienced shot stopper is set to return to action for Al Hilal in their upcoming clash against Al Qadisiyah next Thursday.
The development comes after Bounou successfully recovered from the injury that sidelined him in recent weeks.
According to the same reports, the former Sevilla goalkeeper has fully shaken off the anterior thigh muscle injury he sustained while on international duty with Morocco.
The issue dates back to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, where the Atlas Lions faced Senegal on home soil.
Bounou’s anticipated return is expected to be a timely boost for Al Hilal as they continue their domestic campaign, with the club eager to have their first-choice goalkeeper back between the posts after his spell on the sidelines.
