Terem Moffi could be set for a move away from OGC Nice after a difficult season in Ligue 1, with FC Porto reportedly showing interest in the Nigerian striker.
Moffi, who returned to Nice this summer following a cruciate ligament injury that kept him out for an entire season, has struggled in 2025/26, scoring three goals in 15 appearances.
His last match for the Aiglons came on 30 November against Lorient, when he faced abuse from fans, mirroring incidents involving teammate Jérémie Boga. Since then, both players have not featured for the club and are seeking to leave.
The pair have reportedly approached the Ligue 1 authorities regarding the termination of their contracts, but remain under contract with Nice for now.
Despite this, Moffi has attracted interest from a top European club, with Portuguese side FC Porto emerging as a potential destination.
Porto, leaders of the Primeira Liga with 17 wins and a draw from 18 matches, are exploring options to strengthen their attacking line.
Coach Francesco Farioli, who managed Nice during the 2023/24 season, is reportedly considering Moffi as one of two forward options alongside Fabio Silva of Borussia Dortmund
. With key striker Luuk de Jong sidelined by a knee injury and Deniz Gül playing a supporting role, Porto is seeking reinforcements to maintain their league dominance.
Moffi’s previous spell under Farioli at Nice was highly productive, with the forward scoring 11 goals in 30 Ligue 1 appearances, contributing to the club’s fifth-place finish. Reports suggest Porto are weighing both a loan move and the potential termination of Moffi’s contract to facilitate a transfer.
For Moffi, a move to Porto would represent a chance to regain form in a competitive European environment and reunite with a coach familiar with his style, while offering the Portuguese club added firepower as they pursue domestic and European success.
