Al Ahly forward Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet has eulogized his outfit victory against Young Africans in the CAF Champions League.
The Egyptian attacker was unstoppable in the highly competitive clash on Friday, scoring in either side of the pitch to inspire his outfit to a 2-0 victory over the Tanzanian giants in the third round of the Champions League group stage.
Speaking after the match, Trezeguet expressed his delight following victory against Young African, while describing the win as well-deserved.
“We achieved a well-deserved victory thanks to the players’ efforts and the fans’ support. The most important thing in matches like these is securing the three points. Imam Ashour brilliantly created the second goal, putting me one-on-one with the goalkeeper” he told beIN SPORTS:
“Al-Ahly players are close to each other, and we didn’t take long to adapt after returning from the international break, and that was evident in the match. I hope we can continue winning in order to make the fans happy.”
Scoring with a header? It’s up to God’s will, and every player gets what he deserves for his effort and hard work.”
The win raised Al Ahly’s tally to 7 points, putting them at the top of Group B in the Champions League, 3 points ahead of Young Africans.
