Jaouen Hadjam, born on March 26, 2003, in Paris, has emerged as a promising left-back making headlines with his recent transfer to Young Boys Bern. The Algerian international’s journey from the Parisian grassroots to elite European clubs reveals a tale of perseverance and determination.

Hadjam’s football odyssey commenced at SFC Champagne 95, Alforville, PSG, and Créteil before joining the Paris FC Training Center in 2018.

Climbing the ranks, he signed his first professional contract with Paris FC in August 2020, making his Ligue 2 debut under the guidance of René Girard.

Reflecting on his early years, Hadjam shared, “My journey is not simple,” emphasizing the diverse experiences at different clubs and training centers.

Despite facing challenges, he swiftly progressed from U19 Nationals to the professional group, showcasing his commitment to the sport.

In August 2020, Hadjam embarked on his professional career, displaying resilience through 40 matches in Ligue 2 during his first season, despite battling injuries.

His market value during this period was estimated at 800,000 euros, with an annual salary of 50,000 euros.

The talented left-back then made a move to FC Nantes in January 2023, signing a contract until June 2027.

However, his stint with Nantes proved challenging, featuring in 23 matches but struggling to secure a consistent starting position.

Amidst the winter transfer window of January 2024, Jaouen Hadjam sought a new chapter, departing Nantes to join Young Boys Bern in Switzerland.

The Algerian international inked a 4.5-year contract, underlining his commitment to the Swiss club.

Currently valued at 1.5 million euros, Hadjam’s annual salary at FC Nantes stood at 250,000 euros.

This transfer showcases his ambition to explore new horizons and contribute to Young Boys Bern’s endeavors.

Having represented the France U19 team and later opting to play for the Algerian national team, Hadjam’s international journey adds another layer to his growing football narrative.

With his recent move to Switzerland, the young talent seeks to make a significant impact on the European football stage.

Socially, Jaouen Hadjam boasts a significant online presence with over 143K followers on Instagram (@jaouen.h3) and an active Twitter account (@jaouen_h3) with 7.1K tweeters.

As the 20-year-old left-back continues to evolve, his journey from the Parisian suburbs to the pristine pitches of Bern is a testament to his determination and passion for the beautiful game.
