Hazim Imam, board member of the Egyptian Football Association and overseer of the national team, addressed Egypt’s qualification despite the draw in the recent match against Cape Verde.
Speaking to ON Time channel, the team overseer stated, “Qualification came through the hard work of the players, who are giving their utmost effort.
The team will rest for a while before the upcoming match, and I urge the fans to continue supporting the team as they always do.”
He added, “The team’s morale is very high, and the current generation of players is considered one of the best.
I wish them success in the next match and to continue their journey.”
Regarding the injuries of Mohamed Salah and Mohamed El-Shennawy, he emphasized the importance of their well-being, expressing hope that the injuries are not serious.
He pointed out that the weather conditions in San Pedro are characterized by high humidity, and the team might travel two days before the match in preparation for the Round of 16.
The national team overseer extended his apology to the fans for the recent unsatisfactory results, affirming that the players gave their all in today’s match.
He expressed his hopes for success in the upcoming matches.
