Borussia Dortmund are reportedly eager to extend the contract of 17-year-old German midfielder of Guinea-Bissau descent, Mussa Kaba, as several European clubs have shown growing interest in the young talent.
According to Sport Bild, Kaba is one of three promising Borussia Dortmund players, alongside Samuele Inacio and Mathis Albert, expected to make the permanent step up to the professional team next summer.
Negotiations are currently ongoing with Kaba, whose current contract with BVB runs until 2027.
Dortmund are determined to lock down the German youth international for the long term, despite inquiries from top clubs in Germany and across Europe seeking to lure the midfielder away.
At the same time, the club is exploring strategies to ensure its young talents receive meaningful playing time at a high competitive level.
One option under consideration is partnering with another club to facilitate loans, allowing these players to develop while staying aligned with Dortmund’s long-term vision.
Kaba’s progress continues to attract attention, and Borussia Dortmund appear keen to protect their rising star while carefully planning his path into the senior squad.
