It appears that Camaldine Abraw will not be joining Free State Stars. The 22-year-old Togolese striker, who has been without a contract since the expiration of his deal with Châteauroux in Ligue 2, recently underwent a trial with the Bethlehem-based club.
However, according to reports from KickOff.com on Monday, the negotiations between the concerned parties did not lead to an agreement for a potential transfer. A source mentioned by KickOff.com stated, “He was here last week, from Monday he stayed until Wednesday. Then he left because he was unable to find an agreement on the financial conditions, in particular. He’s a good striker, big and of quality.”
Despite being the African cadet vice-champion in 2007, Abraw struggled to make an impact with Châteauroux. In the previous season, he was on loan at Cherbourg.
