The University of Paris 1 team had an outstanding performance in the University Futsal Championships held in Malaga, Spain. In the final against Valladolid on Sunday, Julien Sakrani’s team put up a strong fight but ultimately lost 2-4, finishing as vice-European champions.
Despite the team’s loss, there were individual honors for some of their players. The Moroccan-origin brothers, Mohammed and Yassine, as well as Abdessamad, were recognized as the best goalkeeper and best player of the competition, respectively.
