Ahmed Salem, the official spokesperson for Zamalek, has refuted claims regarding the club’s alleged signing of a new foreign head coach to lead the White Knights in the upcoming phase.
Reports from the Belgian outlet La Soir indicated that Zamalek had reached an agreement with Belgian coach Carl Hoefkens to assume leadership with a contract spanning a season and a half.
In televised statements, Ahmed Salem clarified that no official agreement has been made with any foreign head coach as of yet.
Contrary to the circulated information about finalizing a deal with Belgian coach Carl Hoefkens or any other, he stressed that Jamal Helmy remains in his position.
The Zamalek spokesperson emphasized that the club’s board will unveil the football team’s plan, whether concerning the head coach or player acquisitions, before the end of this month, ahead of the closure of the African registration window.
