The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) has postponed the press conference for the newly appointed national team coach Sabri Lamouchi due to adverse weather conditions.
Originally scheduled for 2:00 PM on Tuesday at the FTF headquarters, the conference was expected to mark Lamouchi’s formal introduction to the media and outline his plans for the Tunisian national team ahead of upcoming competitions.
In a statement, the FTF cited the weather as the reason for the delay, emphasising that the decision was made in the interest of safety and logistics.
No alternative date has been announced, but the federation assured that the press conference will be rescheduled soon.
Lamouchi, a former international midfielder and experienced coach, took over the reins of the Tunisian national team with expectations of revitalising the squad and strengthening its competitiveness on the African and global stage.
His appointment follows the federation’s decision to seek a new direction after recent challenges in international tournaments.
The postponement comes amid ongoing preparations for the national team’s upcoming fixtures, which include qualifiers for major continental competitions.
Federation officials have stressed that the delay will not affect training schedules or planned team activities.
Media representatives and fans alike were anticipating Lamouchi’s first public address, which is expected to provide insight into his vision, tactical approach, and plans for integrating both established players and emerging talent into the squad.
The FTF’s announcement underscores the impact of unforeseen circumstances on football administration and communication, highlighting the importance of safety and flexibility in managing official events.
Updates regarding the rescheduled press conference will be shared by the federation as soon as possible.
