French tourism leaders have warmly commended Morocco’s organization of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, highlighting the country’s ability to host major sporting events and turn them into powerful drivers of tourism appeal.
According to the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), the tournament has further confirmed Morocco’s position as a reliable, world-class destination.
Invited by the ONMT, Christian Mantei, president of Atout France, and Patrice Caradec, president of the tour operators’ union SETO, praised both the quality of the organization and the coherent overall strategy shaping visitors’ experience.
Mantei underlined that Morocco is clearly demonstrating it can stage international events “at the highest level,” noting how fluid and well-managed the logistics feel, backed by a clear long-term vision to turn each major event into a lasting tourism asset.
The ONMT pointed to solid infrastructure, proven logistics and a strong culture of hospitality as key ingredients in this success. Caradec stressed the immediate impact on the travel sector, explaining that a smoothly run tournament acts as a confidence accelerator for tour operators, showing that “the destination works.”
For both leaders, AFCON 2025 goes far beyond sport, serving as a full-scale showcase of Morocco’s know-how in infrastructure, logistics, security and welcoming visitors.
