Hussein Amotta, the head coach of the Jordanian national football team, has elucidated that his primary goal is to secure a spot in the second round of the Asian Cup.
Speaking at the press conference ahead of the match against South Korea, the architect of the “Nashama” emphasized that the spirit of victory is capable of delivering a strong performance.
Amotta stressed that the Jordanian team must pay attention to small details against South Korea, affirming that the mental factor will also be crucial.
“We will face a stubborn opponent, both on the continental and global levels.
We hope to be present in every aspect to achieve a positive result, ensuring our place in the next round,” Amotta added.
He confirmed that Jordan aspires to achieve a positive result against South Korea in the upcoming match, scheduled for Saturday at the Thumama Stadium in Qatar, within the second round of the Asian Cup group stage.
“Our victory over Malaysia gave us the required confidence, and the match against South Korea will not be easy.
We are well aware of that, but we will fight in this encounter, which will be akin to a mental war.
As for the player Mahmoud Mardi, we will not take any risks with him.
In the few hours leading up to the match, we will make the appropriate decision, whether to involve him or provide him with more rest,” Amotta concluded.
As the Jordanian national team sets its sights on advancing in the prestigious tournament, the strategic approach outlined by Amotta emphasizes a meticulous focus on both tactical acumen and the psychological resilience of the players.
The upcoming clash with South Korea is poised to be a critical juncture, and Amotta’s calculated decisions will play a pivotal role in steering the team towards success in the Asian Cup.
