The Moroccan national football team continued its preparations for the upcoming match against the Democratic Republic of the Congo, scheduled for next Sunday, with a training session held this afternoon at the Auguste Denis training ground.
Coach Walid Regragui organized the training session at 2:00 PM local time, coinciding with the match’s kick-off time, to familiarize the players with the high temperatures, reaching 32 degrees Celsius, and the extremely high humidity.
All national team players participated in the training, including Abdel Samad Al-Zalzouli, Yehia Attia, and Sofiane Boufal.
However, the involvement of player Noussair Mazraoui in the Congo match remains uncertain due to incomplete physical readiness.
During today’s session, Walid Regragui focused on implementing some tactical plans with the ball, preparing for a crucial and challenging match against a team holding one point after drawing with Zambia in the opening game.
The group that participated in the Tanzania match engaged in a light training session yesterday at the residence hotel to alleviate fatigue, while the rest of the players conducted a regular training session under the guidance of the technical staff at the training ground.
As the national team fine-tunes its strategy and tactics, the recovery of previously injured players signals a positive turn in readiness for the significant encounter with the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The match is anticipated to be a critical test for the Moroccan team in their quest for success in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.
