Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan has expressed strong confidence in his side’s readiness ahead of their highly anticipated semi-final showdown against Senegal at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Speaking on Tuesday in Tangier, Hassan confirmed that the Egyptian national team is fully prepared to overcome the Teranga Lions as they aim to book a place in the final of the continental tournament.
Egypt, the most successful nation in AFCON history with seven titles, will face Senegal on Wednesday evening at the Grand Stadium of Tangier, with kick-off scheduled for 17:00GMT.
Addressing the media at the pre-match press conference, the former Egypt international underlined his team’s experience at the latter stages of the competition and insisted his players are ready for the challenge ahead.
“We have reached the semi-finals and we are used to playing at this level. We are certainly ready physically and mentally and we have prepared ourselves to face Senegal, a team for which we have all respect and appreciation,” he said.
Both Egypt and Senegal fancy their chances of winning the semi-final clash on Wednesday to secure a place in the final.
