After suffering a defeat against Sturm Graz in a preparation match (3-1), Laurent Blanc, the new coach of PSG, is gradually reuniting with his squad. The international players of the Parisian club are returning to the team’s training camp in Austria, with Blaise Matuidi and Mamadou Sakho being the latest additions.
Both Matuidi and Sakho participated in their first training session since rejoining the team. Matuidi expressed his excitement about the new season and the fresh start, saying, “That’s it, here we go again, it’s hot so we need to get some fresh air and drink.” He emphasized the team’s commitment to ensuring a successful season and shared his joy at reuniting with his teammates after a month.
Sakho, who is uncertain about his future at PSG, also expressed satisfaction with the first training session, stating, “For a first training session, everything is fine. We worked well, it’s always a little trying at the beginning, which is normal for a recovery.”
As the team regroups and resumes preparations for the upcoming season, the return of key players like Matuidi and Sakho adds depth and experience to the squad under the guidance of Coach Blanc.
