Sherif Essa, Egypt’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, extended a warm welcome to the Zamalek football team upon their arrival in the Emirates.
The envoy’s visit aimed to convey his best wishes to the players and coaching staff of Zamalek as they embark on friendly tournaments in the coming days.
The Zamalek delegation, arriving in the United Arab Emirates earlier today, Thursday, is gearing up for an intensive training camp, punctuated by their participation in two friendly tournaments. The squad includes a formidable lineup:
Goalkeepers: Mohamed Awad, Moaz Alaa Eldin, Abd El Rahman Nafad.
Defenders: Mohamed Abdel Shafi, Hatem Sakr, Ahmed Zaki, Mahmoud Hamdi “El Wensh,” Mostafa El Zanati, Mahmoud Alaa, Hamza Al Mathlouthi, Omar Gaber.
Midfielders: Amr El Sisi, Mohamed Ashraf “Roqa,” Nabil Emad “Donga,” Sayed Abdullah “Neymar,” Mostafa Shalaby, Youssef Ibrahim “Obama,” Mahmoud Abdel Razek “Shikabala,” Mohamed Hossam “Beso,” Mohamed El Sayed, Ibrahima Ndaye.

The Zamalek team is poised to participate in the Emirates Club Friendly Tournament in Abu Dhabi, scheduled from January 18 to 24.
The tournament will see the participation of UAE clubs Al Wahda and Al Ittihad, along with Saudi’s Al Ittifaq and Qatar’s Umm Salal.
Following this engagement, Zamalek is set to compete in the Dubai Challenge Cup from January 26 to 28.
The tournament will feature Moroccan side Raja Casablanca, Saudi powerhouse Al Ahli, and China’s Wuhan Three Towns.
All matches will be held at the Al Maktoum Stadium.
