Raja Casablanca has confirmed the signing of Moroccan international Aymen Barkok, adding another experienced figure to their squad during the winter transfer window.
The club shared images from the official signing ceremony but did not disclose contract length or financial terms.
Barkok, 27, expressed his excitement at joining the Green Eagles, saying he is proud to wear their colors and committed to giving his all for the fans.
On social media, he wrote: “Proud to join Raja Casablanca. Thank God, finally. Ready to give everything for my country and the supporters. Dima Raja.”
This announcement follows Raja’s earlier acquisition of Jordanian forward Mohamed Abu Zraik on a free transfer, highlighting the club’s determination to strengthen its roster this winter.
Barkok brings a wealth of experience from European football. He began his professional career with Eintracht Frankfurt, where he competed in the Bundesliga and lifted the German Cup in 2018.
He later spent a season on loan at Fortuna Düsseldorf before returning to Frankfurt and eventually moving to Mainz 05 in 2022.
Most recently, he featured for Schalke 04 in Germany’s second division.
An established Moroccan international, Barkok’s versatility in midfield is expected to bolster Raja’s lineup, providing both depth and experience as the club targets success in domestic and continental competitions in the months ahead.
