Senegal star Sadio Mane is standing out as one of the top performers at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Although he didn’t find the net in Senegal’s 3-0 victory over Benin on Tuesday night, Mane played a crucial role in setting up one of the goals, helping the Lions of Teranga reach a historic milestone.
According to French outlet Statsfoot via X, Mane has become the most decisive player in AFCON history since the 2006 tournament, registering 17 goal contributions.
The forward has netted 10 goals and supplied 7 assists, surpassing Ivorian legend Didier Drogba, who had 11 goals and 5 assists for a total of 16 contributions.
Mane’s 7 assists also put him alongside Yaya Touré as the best playmaker in the tournament since 2006, highlighting his dual threat as both a scorer and creator.
