Union Monastir’s coach, Mohamed Al-Koki, has adamantly opposed parting with his player, Faisal Al-Menaai, the playmaker, during the current winter transfer window.

Al-Koki conveyed to the officials of the Rabat-based team the necessity of retaining Al-Menaai and refraining from relinquishing the player, especially after agreeing earlier to the departure of his Malian striker, Boubacar Traoré, in the final hours.

Emphasizing the team’s inability to withstand the simultaneous departure of two crucial offensive elements during the winter transfer window, Al-Koki made it clear ahead of the team’s participation in the play-off phase of the Tunisian Professional League.

Earlier, the Union Monastir administration had decided on the departure of Boubacar Traoré from the ranks, aiming to contribute to resolving the financial crisis.

This move was made while providing assurances to Mohamed Al-Koki of securing a new deal.

The adamant stance of Al-Koki regarding Faisal Al-Menaai underlines the coach’s strategic approach to maintaining a balance in the team’s offensive prowess, especially when facing upcoming challenges in the first professional league play-offs.

Union Monastir, with its coach’s resolute decision-making, now faces the task of navigating the winter transfer market intricacies while aiming to fortify the squad for the crucial upcoming fixtures.

The coach’s commitment to preserving the team’s attacking strength signifies a strategic approach to ensure competitiveness in the challenging league landscape.
