Egypt head coach Hassan Hossam has taken a swipe at South Africa ahead of their clash at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Pharaohs will lock horns with the Bafana Bafana on Friday, December 26, in their second Group B encounter at the tournament.
Speaking in his pre-match interview, Hossam Hassan claimed that South Africa’s style of play is one way, insisting that his Egypt side will be ready for them.
“South Africa’s style of play is one way. It’s just like their clubs. Recently, Al Ahly, Zamalek and Pyramids FC faced their clubs more than once. We will be ready for them,” Hossam said.
Egypt will face South Africa in the second round of the Group B games tomorrow, aiming to secure a vital result in the tournament.
The Bafana Bafana, just like the Pharaohs, know a draw will be enough to secure their place in the knockout stage of the tournament and will be determined to avoid a defeat.
The match is scheduled for Friday at 5 pm Cairo time.
