Chicago Stars FC have successfully secured the signing of Nigeria’s Super Falcons defender Michelle Alozie, marking a significant in her career.
Alozie joins the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) from Houston Dash, signing a three-year deal with the club.
The Nigerian international will remain with the Chicago-based club until 2028 season, as the Stars continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2026 campaign.
The enterprising defender has, however, shared her excitement joining Chicago Stars, while embracing the challenge ahead.
“I’m excited to be starting a new chapter with the Stars,” she told the club’s official website.
“I’m looking forward to meeting the team, connecting with them on and off the field, and seeing the fans in the city and in the stands.”
The right-back arrives in Chicago after four seasons with the Houston Dash, where she established herself as a reliable presence in defense. During her time at the club, Alozie made 75 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing two assists.
