Mali international Amadu Haidara has completed a move to French Ligue 1 outfit, RC Lens, marking significant step in his football career.
The 27-year-old midfielder joins the French Ligue 1 contenders on a three-and-a-half year deal, ending his spell with German outfit RB Leipzig.
Currently with the Mali national team for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the enterprising midfielder is expected to link up with his new teammates at the end of the tournament in Morocco.
Haidara will not return to Leipzig after the continental showpiece, having completed a switch to Lens ahead of the winter transfer window. The midfielder has not played a single minute of first-team football for RB Leipzig this season.
With just a few months remaining on his deal, Lens have swooped in to land him on a cut-price deal in the region of €2m.
His contract with his new club will run until the summer of 2029. The Mali international (48 caps) has completed the move ahead of the opening of the transfer window on 1st January.
