Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has reiterated his outfit desire and commitment to meet the expectations of Nigerians by winning the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco.
The Super Eagles opens their account at the continental showpiece on Tuesday against Tanzania, with both teams seeking for an opening day victory.
Osimhen, who has been in a rich vein of form for Galatasaray is expected to play a crucial role for the West Africa football heavyweights, who are seeking to redeem their reputation at the AFCON following World Cup qualification setback.
As Nigeria kick start their campaign on Tuesday, the former Napoli star has urged their fans to rally behind the team in prayers, while assuring them of the title at the end of the tournament in the North Africa country.
“By the power of God, we will bring that AFCON trophy home. Keep supporting us and keep praying for us; we will do our best to make you happy.” He said.
The tournament, which kick started on Sunday, December 21 runs until January 18, 2026, with 24 countries battling it out for the covetous trophy.
