Eleven players report to Nigeria camp ahead of AFCON 2025

Atalanta star Ademola Lookman, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali are among the eleven players to have arrived in Nigeria training camp in Egypt in preparation for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

The 35th edition of the continental showpiece has been scheduled to run from Decemebr 21, 2025 through to January 18, 2025, with 24 countries set to battle it out for the trophy in Morocco.

Porto left-back Zaidu Sanusi become the latest player to report to the Super Eagles camp in Cairo, Egypt, as Nigeria continues preparations for the tournament.

Sanusi’s arrival increases the number of players currently in camp to 11, marking steady progress in the team’s buildup ahead of upcoming engagements.

Nigeria awaits additional 12 players on Monday, December 15, as preparations intensify for the much-anticipated AFCON 2025.

The Super Eagles will compete in Group C, where they face Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda. Nigeria will open their account at the continental mundial against Tanzania on December 23, 2025.
