“We are disappointed with the result. We dominated the first half from start to finish, but in the second half, we have to show more intensity, and we have to give it until the end, especially when we are a team like ours.
I would say that we didn’t manage to come back with the same determination in the second half. It’s not a question of physics; we can only blame ourselves,” expressed the former Toulouse resident.
The disappointment in Chaïbi’s tone reflected the missed opportunities and the team’s perceived lapse in intensity during the crucial moments of the match.
Algeria’s performance, despite the setback, was acknowledged by CAF with the individual accolade for Chaïbi.
