Professor Abdel Muttalib Abdel Mutaal, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Culture, Media, Youth, and Sports and the Minister responsible for North Kordofan, witnessed the closing ceremony of the “Homeland’s Call” tournament organized by the Karima Sports Club in Al-Obaid.
The event was attended by Brigadier General Mohamed Saeed Bihiri and Colonel Bakhasha Hakim Bakhasha, the Commander of the Armored Corps representing the Fifth Infantry Division in Al-Obaid, as well as a representative of the Military Intelligence Unit of the Division, and members of the security and police forces, along with sports leaders and a large audience.
In his closing speech, Professor Abdel Muttalib stated that the nation will remain a safe haven in the hearts of every proud citizen, striving for its stability.
He commended the citizens of Karima and the organizing committee for their efforts in the success of the tournament. He praised the Karima Sports Club for hosting this event.
Abdel Muttalib expressed appreciation for the initiatives accompanying the “Homeland’s Call” tournament, especially in the areas of training in administration and media work, as well as the social activities held in the shelters for the displaced.
He highlighted the positive impact of the sports events on the community and the normalization of public life through the active participation of teams from various neighborhoods of Al-Obaid and the enthusiastic involvement of youth, fostering a spirit of peaceful coexistence.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Culture, Media, Youth, and Sports expressed his hope for security and stability to spread across the nation, bringing peace to its citizens.
As part of the celebration, various entities and individuals were honored, and the championship trophy was awarded to the Triangle Karima team after their victory over the Prince team in a penalty shootout.
