German Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig are reportedly ready to part ways with Malian midfielder Amadou Haidara.

The 27-year-old, whose contract runs until the summer of 2026, is no longer part of Leipzig’s plans, according to reports from Bild.

French outlet La Voix du Nord suggests Leipzig are even willing to allow Haidara to leave on a free transfer in January in order to clear his wages from the books ahead of the final months of his contract.

This development has sparked interest from RC Lens, although the midfielder’s salary is said to be a potential obstacle for the Ligue 1 side.

Haidara’s situation has deteriorated significantly this season. Under head coach Ole Werner, he has not featured in a single competitive match and has alternated between the bench and the stands.

With Leipzig ready to move in a new direction, the winter window now appears set to bring an end to his time in Saxony.
