Raja Casablanca left-back Youssef Belammari is the subject of mounting speculation over a controversial switch across the city to rivals Wydad AC, with the move currently rated at a 75% probability.
The 27-year-old Morocco defender, valued at €1.50m, is being linked with one of the most eye-catching potential transfers in the Botola Pro Inwi, according to data from Transfermarkt. Belammari remains under contract at Raja Club Athletic, but with no public information on the length of his deal, observers have suggested there is a scenario in which he could become a free agent, adding intrigue to any negotiations.
Belammari, who wears the number 17 shirt for Raja, has established himself as a left-back capable of operating across the defensive line, with his preferred left foot a key asset for build-up play from the flank. His current valuation has risen sharply in recent seasons, peaking at €1.70m during his time with Raja before settling at €1.50m in late 2025.
Born in Rabat on 20 September 1998, the defender came through the ranks at FUS Rabat Espoirs before stepping up to FUS Rabat’s first team in 2017. He completed a domestic move to Raja in July 2023, remaining in the Moroccan top flight throughout his professional career.
The rumoured transfer would keep Belammari in the Botola Pro Inwi, moving from Raja Casablanca to fellow Casablanca giants Wydad AC. With no fee disclosed and contractual details unclear, speculation has focused on whether Wydad see an opportunity to secure a proven domestic performer at a price close to his current market valuation.
If the move does materialise, a switch between the two Casablanca powerhouses would mark a significant chapter in Belammari’s career and could redefine his standing within Moroccan football’s fiercest city rivalry.
