Mamelodi Sundowns defender Aubrey Modiba target victory against Siwelele FC
Mamelodi Sundowns defender Aubrey Modiba has set sights on securing maximum points against Siwelele FC in the South African Premiership.
The defending champions face Siwelele FC in a high-stake clash at the Dr Molemela Stadium on Wednesday night. Sundowns are hoping to reclaim their top spot after falling short to Orlando Pirates.
A win for Sundowns will see them reclaim the top spot as they trail Pirates by three points. Presently Pirates are on 28 points while Sundowns are on 25.
A win for Masandawana with a respectable score would put them back on top as both teams would be on 28 points.
“It’s good to be back in the country. It was a long trip with so many hours in the air and on the road. It’s Champions League and you have to do what needs to be done. We are now back and are focusing on the next game which is a league game,” Modiba said on Sundowns website.
“We are expecting a tough game against a tough team. Things are tough now in the PSL as teams are doing extremely well. We are ready for the test and we will not focus a lot on previous results. We have prepared well for that game in order for us to take all the three points but it’s not going to be easy.”
