England forward of Nigerian descent, Eberechi Eze, scored a sensational hat-trick on Sunday, leading Arsenal to a commanding 4-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League.

The former Crystal Palace ace was the star of the North London derby, guiding the Gunners to a memorable win.

Arsenal opened the scoring in the 37th minute when Leandro Trossard picked up the ball in the box and fired a deflected effort past Guglielmo Vicario to make it 1-0.

The Gunners doubled their lead in the 42nd minute. Declan Rice teed up Eze on the edge of the box, and although the shot wasn’t cleanly struck, it crept into the bottom-left corner for 20.

Just moments after the restart, in the 46th minute, Jurrien Timber set up Eze again on the edge of the area. The forward fired low into the bottom-left corner, stretching Arsenal’s lead to 3-0 and completing his brace.

Tottenham responded with a moment of brilliance in the 55th minute when Richarlison spotted the Arsenal goalkeeper off his line and unleashed a spectacular 30-metre strike that found the back of the net.

But Arsenal restored their dominance in the 76th minute. Trossard again turned provider, slipping the ball to Eze, whose effort, once more not perfectly clean, still found its way into the right side of the net, sealing his hat-trick and Arsenal’s emphatic 4-1 victory.
