Assan Ouedraogo keen on making Germany squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup
RB Leipzig teenager Assan Ouedraogo is keen on making the Germany squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The 19-year-old who has roots in Burkina Faso earned his first call-up to the German national team in November and marked the occasion by scoring in the decisive match against Slovakia.
Due to his impressive performances in the last few months, he has quickly established himself as a rising star.
Despite interest from several teams this summer, Ouedraogo remains committed to RB Leipzig, where he is contracted until 2029 and has no release clause.
According to Sky, Leipzig is aware of the inquiries, but the young midfielder is not distracted.
He is focused on staying fit and playing for a longer period, not only to ensure he helps RB Leipzig this season but also to put himself in a good position to earn a call-up to the Germany national team for upcoming assignments, including next year’s World Cup.
