RB Leipzig set to demand massive fee for rising star Assan Ouedraogo
RB Leipzig are reportedly preparing to command a major transfer fee for German midfielder of Burkinabe descent Assan Ouedraogo, whose rapid rise has caught the attention of Europe’s elite clubs.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed a defining week in his young career. In Germany’s 6-0 win over Slovakia, Ouedraogo made his senior international debut and needed just two minutes to score his first goal, delighting the home crowd.
A year and a half after joining Leipzig from Schalke 04, the teenager has fully settled into life in Saxony and continues to display the exceptional talent that made him one of Germany’s most exciting prospects.
According to Sky, several top clubs across Europe have already gathered extensive information on the midfielder as interest continues to grow.
Ouedraogo is under contract with Leipzig until 2029, and crucially, the deal includes no release clause.
This leaves potential suitors with only one option: negotiate directly with Leipzig, who are in no rush to sell.
Sky reports that even the €50-60 million figure being discussed is far from enough to tempt the club into talks. Leipzig view Ouedraogo as a long-term project and a key piece of their future.
Despite having played just 16 Bundesliga matches, his trajectory suggests his market value will only continue to rise as he develops.
