Kylian Mbappe not impressed with 400 career goals, vows to score more

France international of Cameroonian descent, Kylian Mbappe, has vowed to score more goals after reaching 400 career goals.

Mbappe, who plies his trade for Real Madrid racked up an incredible milestone on Thursday after netting a brace for the Les Blues in their 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

The 26-year-old pacey attacker played a pivotal role as his side cruised to a resounding 4-0 victory over Ukraine, propelling the European giants to secure qualification to the global showpiece, to be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

Mbappe has scored for three different clubs alongside the French national team. The rampant rapidity attacker also became the first French national team player in 34 years to score in six consecutive matches. The last to achieve a similar feat was Jean-Pierre Papin, who netted in seven straight games back in 1991.

“400 goals don’t impress people. I want to make my mark in football history, so I have to score at least 400 more”.

“There is one with 950+ goals, and another with 900+, 400 isn’t enough to stay in the circle of players who shock people”.

During his spell with Monaco, the forward racked up 27 goals in 60 appearances before switching to join Paris Saint Germain, where he scored 256 goals in 308 matches.

Since joining Real Madrid last summer, Mbappe has netted 62 goals in 75 appearances. Meanwhile the striker has 55 goals in 95 appearances for the France national team.

This season, Mbappe has been in a rich vein of form for club and country, racking up 23 goals in 20 appearances.
