Spanish media reports have revealed the exclusion of French striker Karim Benzema from the first-team camp of the Saudi club Al-Ittihad in Dubai due to disciplinary action after his absence from team training for three consecutive sessions.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Marca,” Karim Benzema missed three training sessions without permission from the coach, Jose Galardo.
Consequently, the coach decided to exclude him from the team’s training camp in Dubai.
Meanwhile, the Spanish publication “Revelo” confirmed that Al-Ittihad informed Benzema of his exclusion from the Dubai camp, set to commence tomorrow, after his absence from training for a total of six days, signaling that the player will not be returning to the team.
It’s noteworthy that following the defeat against Al-Ahli, Al-Ittihad suffered another setback in the classic match against Al-Nassr, concluding with a scoreline of 5-2.
The Saudi team underwent five training sessions in recent days, during which Karim Benzema failed to attend any.
The disciplinary measures taken against the star striker highlight the club’s commitment to maintaining a disciplined and focused training environment, and the exclusion from the Dubai camp serves as a clear consequence for Benzema’s repeated absence from essential team preparations.
