Premier League giants Liverpool have expressed firm interest to sign Gambian international Yankuba Minteh in the upcoming transfer window.
Minteh, who plies his trade for fellow Premier League outfit Brighton and Hove Albion has attracted several interest from European club following an outstanding display.
According to reports, the 21-year-old right winger has become a highly sought-after target for Liverpool, who are reportedly ready to splash out £70 million for his signature.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot is a huge admirer of the Gambian attacker, having previously work together during his spell at Feyenoord. Minteh is being viewed as a full-fledged replacement for Mohamed Salah, whose future at Anfield remains uncertain.
Yankuba Minteh joined Brighton from Newcastle in the summer of 2024 for €35 million. Since then, the Gambian has featured in 49 matches, netting 8 goals and providing 8 assists.
The enterprising winger’s current contract with Brighton and Hove Albion runs until 2029, with Liverpool seeking to price him out of contract.
This season, the Gambian international has scored one goal and delivered three assists in eleven Premier League appearances.
