Omar Warda led Panserraikos to a resounding 2-0 victory against their opponent, Lamia, in the 18th round of the Greek League.
Warda showcased his football prowess by netting the opening goal in the 14th minute and then providing the assist for Costa Alexicich’s goal in the 85th minute, securing the win and extinguishing any hopes for Lamia.
This marks the fourth game in which Warda has played for Panserraikos in the current season, making a significant impact in the last two consecutive matches.
In the previous encounter against Kaviseas, he contributed by creating a goal in a match that ended in a 1-1 draw.
Panserraikos, with this victory, elevates their tally to 18 points, claiming the ninth spot in the Greek League standings.
The win has narrowed the gap with Lamia, who occupies the eighth position with 21 points.
Omar Warda, with a football journey spanning various Greek clubs such as Panetolikos, PAOK, Atromitos, Larisa, and Volos, also ventured into Cypriot football with Anorthosis and later Apollon.
During the summer transfer window, Warda initially joined Moroccan side Raja Casablanca.
However, he terminated his contract and subsequently signed with Apollon Limassol in Cyprus.
Despite briefly considering a move to an Iranian club during the summer transfer window, Warda ultimately returned to the Egyptian Premier League, joining forces with Farco before parting ways with the Orange club.
Warda’s stint with Farco in the Egyptian league has been limited, featuring in only one match this season.
Nevertheless, his recent stellar performances with Panserraikos highlight his valuable contributions, showcasing his scoring prowess and playmaking abilities on the field.
