Juan Misha, the head coach of the Equatorial Guinea national team, affirmed that the team’s participation in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), set to kick off in Ivory Coast in a few hours, will not be a mere formality.

He stated that they have not come to represent symbolically but with a genuine desire to go as far as possible in the tournament.

In media statements, Misha acknowledged the challenge the Guinea team faces in their opening match against Cameroon.

He emphasized the team’s determination to achieve a positive result in the inaugural match of the Thunder National Team’s journey in the championship, scheduled for next Monday.

Misha expressed hope for success in the remaining group stage matches, aiming to advance to the next stage of the competition.

The Equatorial Guinea national team finds itself in Group C alongside Senegal, Cameroon, and Gambia, promising an intense competition as they seek to navigate through the group stage and secure qualification for the subsequent rounds.

Misha’s words highlight the team’s ambition and commitment to making a significant impact on the prestigious tournament.

As the Africa Cup of Nations unfolds, the football world awaits the performances of Guinea with anticipation, eager to witness the determination and skill they bring to the continental stage.
