Brøndby star Noah Nartey chooses to represent Denmark over Ghana

Brøndby IF midfielder Noah Nartey has firmly ruled out the possibility of representing Ghana at the senior national level, declaring his full commitment to Denmark.

The talented 20-year-old, who has Ghanaian roots, revealed in an interview with Bold.dk that although Ghana had made contact about a potential switch, his focus remains on continuing his international journey with Denmark.

“Of course there is something with Ghana, and there has also been contact. But what I am focused on is playing for Denmark and qualifying for a very great and important European Championship. It’s Denmark that I have represented my entire life and it’s them that I will continue to represent,” Nartey said.

Nartey, who has featured for Denmark across various youth levels, has been one of Brøndby’s standout performers this season, scoring four goals and providing three assists in 14 Danish Superliga appearances.

His latest comments appear to end any hopes of a future Black Stars call-up, as he continues to solidify his place within Danish football.

Meanwhile, his older brother, Nikolas Nartey, has received a call-up to the Denmark national team for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Belarus and Scotland.
