Italian football talent scout Ivan Amicosanti praised the outstanding organization and passion he witnessed during the Women’s U-17 World Cup hosted in Morocco.

Amicosanti, head of scouting at Assist Women, told Hesport, “The organization was excellent. As always, we received a warm welcome, and the tournament ran flawlessly.” He believes Morocco is fully equipped to host major international events in the future, describing it as “an exceptional country worth visiting.”

Reflecting on women’s football, Amicosanti highlighted Morocco’s progress: “The national team is growing, and reaching the round of 16 proves that. There’s much work ahead, but the federation is moving in the right direction.” He was especially moved by the passionate fans filling stadiums to cheer for the players, a scene that inspired pride and optimism.

Amicosanti added, “Seeing kids play football everywhere, even into the early morning, shows deep love for the game. Morocco is heading in the right direction, and the foundation for success is there.” He pointed to Morocco’s recent U-20 World Cup win as evidence of the country’s emergence as a true football power.

Finally, he admired the high level of young talent and noted striker Mayssa Baha’s impressive performance for club and country. “The future is bright for Moroccan football,” Amicosanti concluded, emphasizing the country’s exciting potential in both women’s and men’s competitions.
