Ansu Fati ruled out of AS Monaco’s UCL clash against Bodø/Glimt due to illness
Spanish forward of Guinean descent, Ansu Fati, has been ruled out of AS Monaco’s UEFA Champions League clash against Bodø/Glimt due to illness.
The 23-year-old will not travel with the squad for Tuesday night’s encounter against Bodø/Glimt, further compounding Monaco’s growing list of absentees.
The Principality club will make the trip with only 19 first-team players available, as injuries continue to plague Sébastien Pocognoli’s side.
Monaco are already without Lukas Hradecky, Eric Dier, Christian Mawissa, Vanderson, Denis Zakaria, Lamine Camara, and Paul Pogba. Fati now joins the list of unavailable players, having also missed the 1-0 defeat to Paris FC over the weekend.
Adding to Monaco’s woes, Senegalese winger Krépin Diatta is also sidelined after sustaining an eye injury in that same match.
The Ligue 1 side travel to the Arctic Circle still searching for their first win of this season’s Champions League campaign, hoping to overcome adversity and revive their European hopes.
The match against Bodø/Glimt will kick off at 8 pm.
