Durban City coach Gavin Hunt wary of Kaizer Chiefs threat ahead of clash
Durban City coach Gavin Hunt is wary of the threat Kaizer Chiefs will pose ahead of their South African Premier League clash this weekend.
In a high-stake clash, Durban City will lock horns with the Soweto giants at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, with both teams seeking for the three maximum points.
Despite acknowledging Kaizer Chiefs pedigree, Gavin Hunt is focused on delivering a good performance in the crucial clash.
“We are focused on delivering a good performance,” Hunt told the Kickoff website.
“Let’s see what happens. The result will take care of itself. Kaizer Chiefs can turn things around at any moment.”
Kaizer Chiefs started the campaign on a high note, but dropped in form along the line. At the weekend, the Amakhosi triumphed over AS Simba in the CAF Confederation Cup, a result many never expected.
Amid Kaizer Chiefs inconsistent performance, Gavin Hunt remains worried about the threat pose by the Soweto outfit.
“Every game is important. Yes, Kaizer Chiefs may be unique. They are a great club, a big club, so we are looking forward to the game.”
