Galatasaray renew interest in Cameroon international Frank Anguissa
Galatasaray have revived their pursuit of Napoli midfielder André-Frank Zambo Anguissa as the Turkish club explore options to strengthen their central ranks.
The Cameroon international remains under contract with Napoli until 2027 but has not yet agreed an extension, a situation that continues to attract attention across Europe.
His consistent contributions in Serie A have ensured he remains a player in demand, with Galatasaray now once again placing him high on their list of priorities following initial interest in the summer.
Reports from Turkish outlet Fotomaç state that the Istanbul club are assessing the opportunity to lure Anguissa to the Süper Lig as part of their push to reinforce key areas of their squad.
They are said to be particularly keen on adding a powerful and experienced box-to-box presence in midfield — a profile the 29-year-old fits perfectly.
Napoli, however, have attached a substantial price tag to the former Fulham and Marseille midfielder.
The Italian side have reportedly set their valuation at €30 million, a figure Galatasaray are believed to consider beyond their intended spending threshold.
As a result, the Turkish champions are understood to be weighing up the possibility of securing Anguissa on loan instead of a permanent deal.
Anguissa, who is currently valued at €27 million on Transfermarkt, earns an estimated annual salary of €3.46 million (2,249,000,000 FCFA).
His performances on the pitch have continued to justify his status as a key Napoli figure, featuring in 11 matches so far this season and contributing three goals and two assists from midfield.
His importance to Napoli has grown steadily since joining the club, and he remains a reliable presence both in domestic competition and in Europe.
Yet Galatasaray’s renewed attention highlights the midfielder’s ongoing market appeal and the possibility of movement should negotiations eventually find common ground.
With Napoli pushing through their league campaign and Galatasaray determined to bolster their options, Anguissa’s name is expected to remain prominent in the months ahead.
The Turkish side know that securing such a high-profile signing would represent a major coup as they aim to maintain competitiveness both at home and in continental competition.
For now, the decision will rest with Napoli and the player himself, as interest continues to build around one of Africa’s most accomplished midfielders.
