Real Madrid keeping tabs on Morocco youngster Othmane Maamma
Spanish giants, Real Madrid are tracking Morocco youth international Othmane Maamma following his exploits at the just ended FIFA U20 World Cup tournament.
The 20-year-old winger, who plies his trade for English Championship side Watford, was instrumental throughout the tournament, as Morocco triumphed over Argentina to become the second African nation to win the U20 World Cup.
His creativity and composure on the ball earned him the tournament’s top individual honour, joining an elite list of past winners that includes Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi, Sergio Agüero, and Paul Pogba.
Othmane standout performances have drawn widespread acclaim and significantly boosted his profile ahead of his return to club football in England.
Crowned world champion and voted best player of the tournament, the 20-year-old Moroccan winger has popped up on the radar of Real Madrid. Scoring one goal and providing four assists, Maamma distinguished himself alongside Yassine Gessime and Yassir Zabiri, embodying one of the key players in Morocco’s exceptional run.
