Franco-Congolese defender Benoît Badiashile sidelined until December
France international of DR Congo descent Benoît Badiashile is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines following an injury setback.
The 24-year-old centre-back, who plies his trade for Premier League giants, Chelsea has sustained a muscle injury as confirmed by head coach Enzo Maresca, ruling him out of action until December.
“Benoît Badiashile will be out until December. He has suffered a muscular problem” he said ahead of the Blues game against Nottingham Forest.
The reigning FIFA Club World Cup holders are currently several injury setbacks, with Adarabioyo, Colwill, Dilep, Essugo, and Palmer all sidelined.
Chelsea are gearing up for the much-anticipated clash against Nottingham Forest this weekend, with the Blues, with victory crucial to their Premier League battle.
Badiashile joined Chelsea in summer 2023, with his contract expected to elapse in 2029.
This season, the defender has made only two appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea after seven matches into the campaign.
