Memphis Depay becomes Netherlands top assist provider in history
Corinthians forward Memphis Depay has reached another milestone with the Netherlands national team following his three goal contribution in their game against Finland.
Depay, who also has Ghanaian roots scored and delivered a braced of assists as the Dutch national team cruised to a resounding 4-0 win over their opponent in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers on Sunday.
Remarkably, the Corinthians star has now become the all-time leading assist provider in the history of the Dutch national team.
Back in September 2025, Depay cemented his status as the all-time top scorer for the Oranje after the match against Lithuania, and now he’s reached another major milestone.
Currently, the former Manchester United and Barcelona star can boasts of 54 goals and 35 assists in 106 appearances for Netherlands national team.
Depay, 30, signed a two-year deal with Brazil powerhouse Corinthians in September 2024 after leaving Atletico Madrid, a move some saw as unexpected for a player of his calibre.
Establishing himself as a key cog at the club, Depay won his first prize with Corinthians in March after his outfit triumphed over arch-rivals Palmeiras to lift the Campeonato Paulista.
His current contract with the Brazil powerhouse is expected to elapse in summer 2026.
