Fire breaks out at Vinicius Junior’s residence in Spain

Brazilian international of Cameroonian descent is currently going through a truly dark period in his personal life, following a fire outbreak at his residence in Spain.

The 25-year-old’s house in Madrid caught fire on Thursday, with preliminary reports, revealing an electrical malfunction as the cause of the unfortunate incident.

The blaze started in the sauna located in the basement, which was completely destroyed, with smoke filling two floors of the residence.

Fortunately, there appear to be no injuries, with the fire brigade bringing the situation fully under control.

The pacey winger is currently on international duty with Brazil, and is expected to feature in their game against Korea Republic on Friday.

The South American giants will also engage Japan in a friendly game on October 14 as they gear up for the upcoming 2026 World Cup tournament.

Vinicius Junior endured a difficult start to the 2025/26 football campaign under manager Xabi Alonso. Before the international break, the enterprising winger delivered a strong performance in Real Madrid’s last two games.

He was instrumental when Real Madrid silenced Villarreal with a 3-1 victory in the Spanish La Ligia, propelling the club to the summit of the table.
