We believe we can qualify for 2026 FIFA World Cup – Madagascar star El Hadary Raheriniaina
Madagascar’s teen sensation, El Hadary Raheriniaina, is confident they can secure qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The 19-year-old has been key to Madagascar’s World Cup qualification campaign so far, putting the national team in a good position to qualify heading into the last two matches.
Speaking ahead of matches against Comoros and Mali, El Hadary Raheriniaina has stated that the team wants to make history by qualifying for what will be their first-ever World Cup.
“First of all, I’m so proud to be playing for the national team, and when I play, I try to enjoy it and not put too much pressure on myself. In football, as Kylian Mbappé said, ‘Don’t talk about age!’
“When the national team plays, everyone stops what they’re doing and watches the games. It gives us a lot of strength and energy. We’re playing for our country and we want to make history — and I believe we’ll do it. There’s a great atmosphere in the team and we always try to give everything in every match,” El Hadary Raheriniaina told CAFOnline.
Madagascar currently sit second in Group I with 16 points, just three behind Ghana with 19 points.
They must win all remaining matches in the qualifiers and hope results from Ghana’s next two matches go in their favour for the World Cup dream to come to pass.
