In an exclusive update, a source within the Football Association has disclosed the latest developments regarding the disbursement of overdue payments to referees from the previous season, addressing the recurring complaints they have raised concerning non-receipt of their entitlements.
Referees had previously lodged several complaints with the Football Association, expressing their dissatisfaction with the delay in receiving their financial dues for the past season.
According to the insider, speaking exclusively to “Btolat” (Tournaments), “The Football Association initiated the disbursement of overdue payments to referees for the last season starting Wednesday.”
He elaborated, stating, “The Football Association has transferred a sum of money to the referees through their bank accounts, constituting a portion of the outstanding payments.”
Further details were provided, “Referees have pending entitlements from matchday 22 to 34 in the league from the last season, in addition to payments for Egypt Cup matches, and entitlements from the League Cup.”
This development comes after referees had previously voiced their grievances and dissatisfaction with the Football Association due to prolonged delays in receiving their rightful payments.
