Dutch-Nigerian forward Emmanuel Emegha sidelined until after October international break
Dutch international of Nigerian descent Emmanuel Emegha has been ruled out of action until after the October international break.
Emegha returned from an injury to feature for Strasbourg in their game against Olympique Marseille last Friday, with his outfit succumbing to a 2-1 home defeat.
Unfortunately, Emegha was forced off an hour into the much-anticipated French Ligue 1 clash, held at the Meinu.
Having sustained a fresh injury, the Chelsea-bound attacker will miss the club’s upcoming games against Bratislava and SCO Angers.
This means Emegha will not feature again until after the October international break. Meanwhile, the forward could make his return against current Ligue 1 leaders, Paris Saint-Germain, scheduled for October 17.
Emegha has been impressive for Strasbourg this season, scoring four goals and delivering two assists from six appearances.
The Dutchman, who completed his move to Chelsea earlier this move, will continue at Strasbourg until the end of the season.
