Former Zamalek coach Nelo Vingade insists Pyramids FC is a strong and fierce competitor for the CAF Champions League title this season.
The Egyptian outfit produced a top-class performance to secure their maiden Champions League title last season, triumphing over South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns in the finals.
Pyramids will begin their Champions League title defense on Wednesday when they take on Rwandan Army in the preliminary round.
And the Portuguese coach has tipped the Egyptian outfit remains a strong force for the Champions League title.
“The Champions League is the continent’s premier club competition, and Pyramids are a strong and fierce competitor. They will be among the teams that have qualified for the final rounds and will compete strongly” he said.
Pyramids FC have recently established themselves as one of the outstanding teams on the African continent.
